In movies when people say they are going to Canada they always end up buying heavy Eskimo coats and I'm always like wtf.

One good thing about the month of January is the "Happening Gourmand"! It is the Montreal version of the famous New York Restaurant Week. Eight restaurants offer meals ranging from $23 to $27. Thumbs up for fine dining on the cheap! It happens once a year, it is definitely an excellent way to try restaurants that you normally wouldn’t go to!

I had the Manhattan steak cut from the table d'hôte at Vieux Port Steak House. I asked for rare steak but had to change it because it was too cooked to my liking. However, they did not hesitate to give me another one but I still found it too cooked... My friends took the bacon wrapped filet mignon (I don't like bacon) and didn't have problem with their steak.
